Rely on Our Staff to Answer All Your Questions

Have a home care-related question? We have the answer. Check out these FAQs and give us a call today for more information!
  • What do I do if I don’t know where to start?

It’s very common to be overwhelmed and not know how to get started.  We are here to support you. Call 610-968-1687 and we’ll help you talk through your concerns. Even if you aren’t a good fit for our services, our goal is to provide a resource during the initial phone consultation that you can use as a next step.

  • Can I trust someone in my/my family’s home?

We strive every day to provide the highest quality of service. Our team of caregivers is carefully selected based on their integrity and commitment to attendance, quality of care, honesty, dependability, and belief in our core mission.

  • What about COVID-19?

Nest In Place follows CDC and PA Dept of Health guidelines 100% of the time. We provide our caregivers with the PPE needed to safely care for our clients. Our scheduling system is designed to provide as much consistency of caregiver as possible to limit the number of different caregivers coming into the home.

  • Do I have to sign a contract?

No. You can cancel our services at any time with 10-14 days’ notice depending on your program.

  • Do you stop my SOAR plan if I go into the hospital?

Our work doesn’t stop when a client goes into the hospital. We are your patient advocate.  We work with the doctors, nurses, case managers, rehab centers and discharge planners to make sure you have all the information you need so you can make the best choices for your care. We also keep things handled on the home front, making sure pets, plants, and homes are taken care of and getting things set up for when you return home.

  • What happens if I need more care in the future?

If the time does come where you need a higher level of care, we can provide resources to help you. You will have the peace of mind of knowing we have explored every option to keep you at home. And every month you are able to delay assisted living by using Nest In Place can save you $3000-$6000. In just one year that preserves $36,000-$72,000 of your financial resources!

  • Do I need a medical exam or doctor’s prescription for your service?

No. Our services do not require you to get an additional medical examination or a doctor’s referral or prescription.  You are free to keep your doctor, or if you prefer someone come to your home, we can offer recommendations for a medical practice in your community that makes house calls.

  • How is your service different from a private duty Home Care Agency?

Nest In Place is a state licensed non-medical Home Care Agency, but we provide a solution that goes beyond just the hours in your home so you feel supported 24/7. We have NO HOURLY MINIMUM and offer flexible scheduling to meet your needs. We help design a schedule that will offer you the best solution for your care needs.

  • What if we need someone in our home 24/7?

We work hard to provide a high quality / cost effective service. We do have clients being cared for 24/7.  We will not take a client unless we can ensure caregiver coverage for the hours needed. This can be discussed during the initial phone consultation.

  • How is your service different from an Assisted Living/Personal Care Home?

Assisted Living/Personal Care requires you to leave/sell your home and is 4-7 times the cost of Nest In Place services.  We connect you to the same types of services you would receive in Assisted Living while you thrive in your home.

  • Does Medicare pay for this?

Medicare does not typically pay for this type of service, in the same way most Assisted Living Facilities are not paid for by Medicare.

  • Will I have the same caregivers every time?

We work hard to provide as much consistency of caregiver as possible. You may have one caregiver or a small team if you require care more than three days per week.

  • Can I get transportation from you?

Yes. We discuss transportation during the assessment to determine your needs.

  • Can I get meals from you?

Your caregivers will work with you to determine your specific needs. We have resources for shopping, in-home delivery of meals at a negotiated rate, assist with meal prep, etc. Our goal is to figure out the best way to provide food you will really enjoy.
